Switeck Posted August 27, 2006 Report Share Posted August 27, 2006 And even if your download bandwidth max was unchanged, if your upload speed increases from 256 kilobits/sec to 512 kilobits/sec...your download SPEED in µTorrent will likely increase noticeably as well -- since others upload BACK to you based on how fast you upload to them. grassy Posted August 28, 2006 Author Report Share Posted August 28, 2006 Thanks guys that gives me a great deal more knowelege and indication on what is going on. At the moment one of my torrents is not showing anything, so i cant wait till the end of the week, when my internet speed will be boosted to 512. I understand also that this gives me a lot more downloads. At the moment i am being Throttled and have used up all of my download speed down to say, 64 from 256. Switeck Posted August 28, 2006 Report Share Posted August 28, 2006 Remember while throttled to reduce your max speeds in µTorrent to prevent further overloads.If you are limited to 64 kilobits/sec due to throttling, it won't help a bit to try to upload faster than ~6 KB/sec.
