DreadWingKnight
Incompatible Software?
adelphi
Nope, none of those. Also, now it's checking the files it's downloading, and it's taking a very very long time. Before, it didn't check anything, it just started right away when I opened up uT.More help please!
DreadWingKnight
If it's checking on a client restart, you probably have something bigger going on with your system (Like the drive lapsing into PIO mode or something like that).uT needs a clean shutdown to not need to hash check on a restart. adelphi
Oh, thanks on the hash check.So...what do I need to do regarding the constant freezing & restart? Sorry, I'm a n00b when it comes to these...

Ultima
F-Secure what? Firewall? Antivirus? Some kind of suite? And have you tried uninstalling it?
adelphi
F-Secure Anti-Virus Client Security...My Firewall is the one I got from SP2. No, I haven't tried uninstalling it, because when I checked the incompatible software, it didn't list F-Secure as one...Should I try uninstalling it? Because I've had F-Secure on before my PC was restarting...
Ultima
Yeah try that, F-Secure has been known to cause issues with µTorrent before.
adelphi
Ok, thanks. Which anti-virus do you guys actually recommend?

adelphi
Thanks, will try that one. Hope that one doesn't have any issues with uT. BTW, since uninstalling F-Secure, my PC hasn't restarted...Yet. Thanks again guys.
Ultima
Kaspersky works just dandy here, so you should be fine using it.
adelphi
It just restarted again...=(
adelphi
This is what happened: I was on my way out, and I was just watching uT. Slowly, the Down speed was decreasing, and I thought that that was just because of my ISP (it fluctuates), and when I pressed the windows key + L (log off) to log off, it restarted. It happened at the exact same time.
