frostyboy
Hi,I've been using utorrent for ages and had no problems with connectability. My Belkin F5D7633-4 has been port forwarded for a year. The only changes to my system are:-Zone Alarm Pro updates.....as always.uTorrent update to v1.6.I have suddenly got a red sign and after checking everything I can think of, I can't get rid of it.I've read all the relevent posts I can find.I have disabled ZA with no change. Re-forwarded my port with no change. I've read the ZA configuring sheet by Ultima and actioned that with no change.I've checked the in/out communication via 'shieldsup' mentioned in another post, and it tells me my PC is more secure than Fort Knox......nothing moving at all.Can anyone enlighten me please????.....frostyboy..... DreadWingKnight
Did you try removing your uT settings files from %appdata%\utorrent and rebuilding your settings?Did you try uninstalling ZoneAlarm (as the Belkin router provides easily 90% of the protection that ZA does without the invasive software)
frostyboy
Thanks for that....I re-forwarded my port to another port and got the red warning to change to amber.....I've deleted the %appdata% settings file, and the warning is still amber, with the port showing closed.edit....now back to red....so no change.......frostyboy...... jsillup
You did not mention if you uninstalled Zone Alarm. If your problem started immediately after upgrading from µTorrent 1.5 to 1.6 then it is likely that your firewall is now blocking µTorrent because it detected the version change. Delete any existing firewall rules for µTorrent and make new ones, or uninstall as suggested.
