port forwardin doesnt work

the arrow turned red again! and this time it was for a longer period. a few minutes i shud say, earlier it was jus a few seconds! someone xplain the colors plz....this red one scares me....is there sumthin wrong?

Hi All,

I am having a problem with The Port forwarding.. It keeps saying:

Error! Port so and so does not appear to be open..

I have tried so many and none seem to work..

I also did the Port Forwarding for my modem, and still it didn't work. Unless I did something wrong with that..

Can anyone help me??

I did follow everything on there and still the port wont open, (Well any port won't open)

I am using an OvisLink ADSL Modem/Router.. I turned all the Firewall off.

It real is starting to bug me like hell that I can't get this thing to work right..

WOW! It's O.K. I fixed it all by myself.. I have a green button on the middle bottom now, with a check in it!!

bgmnt I am also in the UAE using Etisalat as an ISP and have probs with port forwarding... I was glad to see that you finally resolved your problem... but dissapointed that you did not share with us the solution. I have tried everything but still have a problem. I am using a Linksys ADSL Wireless Router WAG325N. I followed all the instructions given on the portforwarding site for that router. I allowed the port and application on MCAFEE... I even went to the extent of disabling my PC firewall for a while to see if that was the problem. I still face a problem!!!! Can anyone help please???
