Hollon67
When I run µTorrent, it makes it impossible to browse with IE or Firefox. This is a problem that started suddenly. I used to have no problem running both programs (µTorrent and Firefox, IE) at the same time. Could somebody help me out, or direct me to a post relevant to my problem. Thanks
Determination
Run the Setup Guide. Most of the time these problems are caused by not limiting µTorrent properly for your connection.
Nefarious
if that doesnt help, try disabling DHT and/or patching tcpip.sys in case u are under XP SP2

zoozooka
I had the same issue before.try limiting the max number of active torrent to 6 or lower, max number of active download to 5.number of upload slots had to be 4 or lower. it's global upload slot that causes the problem. keep it under 20 global upload slots. Ultima
Unless you have approximately 10mbit upload, you should not even be near 20 global upload slots anyway. Like I said in my link, Speed Guide and a bunch of other things to try.
Switeck
I use even more conservative settings than the speed guide and see download speeds as high as 600 KB/sec on my 6mbps down / 380 kbps up cable connection. Like Ultima said, you should not need lots of global upload slots. (or lots of torrents and connections at once!)
