kenanr
i have a torrent that shows no seeds in utorrent, yet shows 6 seeds and downloads at 300 kb/s in azureus. azureus does mention an Error: Torrent not registered with tracker.any ideas? Ultima
Azureus is using its DHT to grab peers. The torrent is not tracked on the selected tracker, so you cannot get peers unless you get it from an outside source (add the IPs manually, use DHT). kenanr
sure, but im using utorrents dht, right? so shouldnt it work just as well?
Ultima
Mainline DHT likely has less users than Azureus DHT, or at the very least, less reliable (*cough*lots of BitComets on mainline DHT*cough*).
kenanr
i see... why not merge DHTs?
Ultima
That has been considered, and might come somewhere in the future.
kenanr
i have another note about azureus vs. utorrent. first, utorrent does not seem to check if the torrent i just clicked on has already been downloaded into the Complete folder. Azureus does do this.
