tkittich
hello,uPnP port maping doesnt seem to work for my Zyxel P-660HW-T1 router. this is from logger in utorrent 1.6:[18:28:18] UPnP: Discovered new device: http://192.168.1.1:80/UD/?3[18:28:19] UPnP: Mapped port 31238 -> 192.168.1.100:31238[18:48:21] UPnP: Port 31238 is already mapped. Not re-mapping.[19:08:23] UPnP: Port 31238 is already mapped. Not re-mapping.[19:28:21] UPnP: Port 31238 is already mapped. Not re-mapping.from the log, uPnP seems to be working. however, there's no incoming connection and 'Test if port is forwarded properly' in speed guide returned 'Error! Port 31238 does not appear to be open'. i've tried UPnPTest from http://www.mgillespie.plus.com/ and all tests passed. also, i've read in the faq that Zyxel P-660HW should work with firmware versions PE8+. however, i live in thailand and the firmware might be different here. my firmware seems to be quite recent but doesn't have anything about PE. this is what i got from 'system status': System Name: P660HW-T1ZyNOS F/W Version: V3.40(ANF.0)b3 | 07/19/2006DSL FW Version:DMT FwVer: 3.4.1.0_A_TC, HwVer: T14F7_0.0Standard:ADSL_G.dmtnow i've manually forwared ports in the firewall and there're incoming connections after that.is there something else i should do to make uPnP work? thanks a lot. Switeck
It is probably the case that you've properly forwarded your router...but there's another router/firewall that needs to be forwarded/unfirewalled.Does your ISP give everyone their own internet (WAN) ip? tkittich
the ip from isp is dynamic so it's different every time the router makes a connection (PPPoE). the problem shouldn't be with another firewall because after i manually forward ports in the router, the icon on the status bar turned green and i got incoming connections. Switeck
If the icon is green and you're getting incoming connections, then yes you are unfirewalled. Since you did manual forwarding you do not need UPnP and it should be disabled in µTorrent.
tkittich
yes, i can manually forward ports in the router. but uPnP is still not working. if the router give me another ip (dhcp), then i have to manually forward ports again. kraijeck
to tkittich:Is this ADSL/Router from True ADSL? (ซื้อจากทรูรึเปล่าครับ อาจเป็นที่ firmware ก็ได้)I have same problem with same router. Don't know how to set UPnP work. (Port Forward OK.)And you can fix IP in DCHP Table by save MAC Address

kraijeck
Mine is....ZyNOS F/W Version: V3.40(ACI.6) DSL FW Version:DMT FwVer: 3.4.1.0_A_TC, HwVer: T14F7_0.0get from http://www.zyxel.com/web/download_us.php?FileName=200409094732112004122110251120041105154230_20060620_3.40%28ACI.6%29C0-340ACI6C0.zip(this is newest firmware 06-20-2006)I think you don't need to update firmware because UPnP still not work on uTorrent (It may be firewall or wrong setup but I don't care, port forward FTW)visit at http://www.zyxel.com/web/support_download.php
