DreadWingKnight
Hard disk damage?Ram failure? What type of files? If they're media files are you using Windows Media Player?
richie101
no, no damage. as i said, the files play perfectly through itunes or mediaplayer. files are mp3.problem appears to be utorrent, but i don't understand where the error could've crept inr
DreadWingKnight
If the files are MP3, Windows Media Player may be re-tagging the files, causing them to become changed as far as the torrent is concerned. Not a uT problem.
richie101
rarely use mediaplayer. and haven't had any dealings with these files since uploading til error so i don't think that's it. also, according to the recheck, 1 whole album has disappeared, as in 0%'s on all 15 tracks. surely not a tagging issuer
DreadWingKnight
If the tags change even 1 byte, they corrupt the entire piece, as well as pieces that span to other files (especially true if the tag size after re-tagging is different). The files may play fine, but whatever re-tagged the files effectively corrupted them as far as the torrent is concerned.
