Always after I start uTorrent, my notebook starts to run very slowly,everything starts to act weird and it eventually crashes. Now I didnt open uTorrent, and Ive been working about half an hour without any problems. Strange thing is that when I open the client, my...hard-drive (or whatever) runs continuously as if it was doing something, even though Im not doing anything at all (typing,moving coursor....)Anyone has similar experience?? Ultima Posted September 16, 2006 Report Share Posted September 16, 2006 Start > Run > devmgmt.mscCheck the properties for both IDE controllers and make sure they're on DMA, and that there's no mention of PIO mode besides in the dropdown menu.I'm assuming you mean "did" instead of "should" in that last sentence... in that case, if you've made sure your IDE controllers are in DMA mode, try patching TCPIP.sys.
