Switeck
I've heard from "somewhere" that Barak ISP in Israel throttles almost all file-sharing networks/protocols to rather low values. If so, only forced encryption and lazy peerfield (or something like that) might help.
pizzaboyy
thnx switeck but how can i do that???
Ultima
peer.lazy_bitfield in Advanced Settings (though it really shouldn't be affecting anything), and Protocol Encryption in Preferences > BitTorrent.

sooti
i used to be in barak, but it doesnt throttle speeds, you just have to config it right.. i don't know any Irsaeli ISP that throttles BT or p2p in general, i'm on 1.5/192 netvision and i get great speeds, between 30-150 Kb/s on avrage... Switeck
Someone claimed otherwise here:http://sootech.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_sootech_archive.htmlhttp://sootech.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_sootech_archive.htmlI'd say it's still up in the air whether Barak uses some throttling or just plain sucks due to overload. However I doubt they "block" ports...throttle maybe though. sooti
actually, funny you should mension that blog, as it is my blog LOL, speeds might be blocked, as they deny it, but my friend and father are both on barak, and get decent download speeds, i myslef just moved to 'bezeq international' and it has fine speeds, i'm downloading a torrent of 350MB with 14 seeds and 350 leechers on 100 steady, so maybe you should think of moving to them, barak has sucky bandidth, try encryption anyway, that should help, and check out this artical i wrote in hebrewhttp://life-in-israel.com/he/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=73&Itemid=54it's a guide in herew to config utorrent, works best for me on all 3 ISP's i've been on.. including barak
