metacyde
Hey,I love uTorrent, but I'm having issues connecting via the webui from my work computer. I have been poking around the forums, and have heeded the advice found there, and still can't seem to connect from work. I have a Comcast broadband connection, with a netgear WGT624v2 router. I've followed the install guide, forwarded my ports, setup a static IP (192.168.0.136), even set up an account at dyndns.com for my external IP. My work computer is at a major University, so I'm wondering if I'm just missing something? I've allowed my work IP on my firewall at home. The Webui works fine when I'm sitting at my computer at home, but that doesn't help me much. A little help??
kyler
Why WebUI don't work in FireFox 3.0 beta4 ? (I am sorry for my English)
Ultima
Just because it doesn't? There have been many changes to Firefox's JavaScript and rendering engine that caused webui to break. It works on the forthcoming version of webui (whenever that is), so that's good enough.http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=36084

hermanm
Test the port you are trying to connect on at work: http://www.utorrent.com/testport.php?port=27768 - The port you are trying to connect on is most likely blocked. Why leave a port open at work when there's no work related necessity?

Please tell me what, THANKS !
eduardomb
Webui don't have all the settings at utorrent, like create torrent and RSS, you don't have those at webui

w.hamra1987
how can i know when there is a new version of the webui? and i really hope it supports firefox 3 beta 4, im forced to use IE7 just to control my torrents!im using utorrent 1.8, is this the reason i see blank space in the tracker and general sections of the "general" tab?anyways, great application (its called application, right? )cheers
hermanm
Hi, any chance of putting the webui version number on the /gui page?
Ultima
Clarify...? The title already reads "µTorrent WebUI v0.310"...
hermanm
Was there a "beta 1" and now there is a "beta 2"? I just wasn't clear if I needed to update my webui.zip to a newer version. Mine says v0.310 in the title.
Ultima
"beta 2" simply means it's the second public beta release. It's not actually a part of the version number.
jewelisheaven
Indeed, I bet the new 1.8-enabled WebUI has a version number closer to .5 or so
