Invy
I don't think this has been brought up before as i've searched..I have it set to port 50000 for connections, but when I go to the speed guide, in the box it says port 50003 is the 'current port' but it obviously is not, and it's greyed out and I can't change it.Unless i'm doing something wrong here. Ultima
Not sure what's up with that, but other people have reported odd issues as well with port number differences (it incrementing by one every time, or whatever) =T
Invy
Now it went from port 50003 to port 50002.. This has only been happening since i've upgraded to the new beta version from the previous.Oh well, I can change the port number manually when it directs me to the utorrent portchecker webpage. No biggie.
Firon
If you use UPnP, it will increment the port if the port is busy.
ICleolion
This could do with going in the FAQ.

Firon
It was something I found out only last night. I always thought it was a bug.
Game90
heh, i remember the port checker used to able to see only my ISP's stupid transparent proxy, now it sees my real IP
Firon
If the port checker detects a transparent proxy, it redirects you to the port checker on port 16000. If it STILL detects it, it redirects you to the port checker on :443, which is HTTPS, in an attempt to avoid transparent proxies.
Invy
Ok this is starting to get a little annoying now. The tracker for my torrent says that my port 50003 is blocked but I have port 50000 set in utorrent, and 50000 is forwarded in my router. I hate the 'YOUR PORT IS BLOCKED' message! >I don't know exactly what upnp port mapping does.. but, is it ok to disable it and will it have any effect on utorrent's performance? Or do you guys recommend that I leave it on? (for the reason of better seeding ability or whatever)
Ultima
Disable it if you forwarded manually.
Switeck
Also disable it if you have a D-Link router.
