gankstaflash
hi all,i waz wondering whether it is ok to defragment tha hard drive while tha download is incomplete. I was thinking that if you defragment the hard drive while the file was incomplete and when i resume downloading the torrent it will say its corrupt or there will be a lot of wastage.ne help appreciated, thanks
Ultima
No, it won't matter. If you're going to defragment, though, don't do it while you're using µTorrent.
splintax
Like Ultima said, it's not going to cause any damage, but I doubt that the defragmentation will complete. It'll just keep restarting until µT stops accessing the disk.

Ultima
Having it defragment while you're actively reading from/writing to disk does NOT minimize the fragmentation, and depending on how you have your settings in µTorrent, it could cause more fragmentation instead.
