quackyo
I use µTorrent on a daily basis. Normally I only have between 1 and 10 torrents at the same time, but today I have had some more. Now µTorrent crashes every few minutes, giving me this errormessage : "utorrent has crashed. Unable to generate crash dump."What can be wrong ? I do not run any rare router, and do not use any software firewall on my machine, only Norman antivirus...
Ultima
Norman security products have been known to cause issues with µTorrent... Anyway, have you performed a Windows Update recently?
quackyo
No update, I'm using Windows 2000. It seems to have something to do with the number of connections - I tried to adjust the number down from 380 to 250 connections, and after that µtORRENT usted a lot longer timer before crashing.. Ultima
Could still be Norman being overloaded when you have too many connections, and it attempts to scan them. Yes, an antivirus can still attempt to scan network connections. Try uninstalling Norman for the time being. If you don't want to uninstall it, then the only thing you can try is lowering the global max connections some more, and disable DHT.
