w1jg
When the downloading speed nears 600K/s, my memory monitoring software demonstrated that the system is running out of memory ,only 25M(my comp memory is 512M) ,but when checking the windows task manager ,utorrent only takes 8M memory. After the file is completed, the downloading speed reduces to 30k,immediately the free memory is back at about 378M,so obviously, the memory is consumed by utorrent, but why does the Windows Task Manager shows otherwise? uTorUser
Taskmanager only shows physical memory use (if you do not add the VM-column). The "total used memory" reported in TM includes the reserved bytes in the page file (eg. virtual memory). If you sum up utorrents physical used memory and reserved use in the pagefile, you should get more complete numbers.
