OldBen
I am using a Motorolla SB5101 cable modem. My TCP/IP seetings are all at "Obtain IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS sever address automatically". I'm not sure where to go now since utorrent still says "Error! Port 37456 does not appear to be open."Any help would be appreciated. I tried portforward.com, but it seems to be for people who are using routers/gateways. What am I missing? OldBen
Unfortunately, it does not appear that my ISP has blocked fileshareing remotely. I disabled Windows Firewall and all is well. Strange considering that I have not adjusted any of the settings in Windows Firewall and all has been fine for week. Oh well. Thanks.

Ultima
Regardless, I've seen this issue abound from anyone who's said they were using SurfBoard modems, even when their gateway IP address was NOT a RFC1918 IP address.
OldBen
Neither my girlfriend, nor I have had good luck with Motorolla products in general so I'm really not surprised that this is happening. A year ago when I got everything installed, they told me I wouldn't have broadband for 3 days while they worked on a problem with the firmware of the modem. Thanks for the help.
