maxgrdn Posted October 9, 2006 Report Share Posted October 9, 2006 i wonder if anyone can help me, i am new to utorrent.when i am at home with my dial up connection (not broadband) utorrent works (very slowly), but when i am in college using the wireless broadband it doesnt seem to connect to an open port.can this problem be fixed so i can use it on the network (someone please tell me how). can any one help me to sort this problem, thank you..... DreadWingKnight Posted October 9, 2006 Report Share Posted October 9, 2006 At college, you're using a shared network, and your IP address ( start - run - cmd /k ipconfig ) is within RFC1918 ranges (192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x, 172.16.x.x-172.31.x.x) and you're firewalled.
