monook32
i have one of the linksys routers taht have this problem and unfortunately my town only sells this kind at Staples...i was wondering if anyone could recomend me a router that does not have this problem but can acheive 400+kbps on a good torrent?that'd be wonderful, i can acheive 400+kbps on a good torrent bu i lose internet immediately unless i lower global connection limit to around 60, but then i lose the speed...so if anyone could recomend me a good known working router, or a miracle fix, id really appreciate it! monook32
WEIRD.im plugged directly to the modem (no router) and still experienced the same problem.can older modems not handle too many connections as well??!
Switeck
Older modems indeed have problems with lots of connections at once.Another gotcha is the half-open connection max rather than Global connection max...everything else can be set low but if your half-open connection max is over say...4 ...then various lower-quality networking hardware and software has issues.
