kihsleek Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 It seems, that I'm not able to download anything when all the other peers are using Azureus/2402. There is about 90 peers and I'm stucked on 14.8%. There is just one other peer with utorrent and he's on 14.4%...Any clues?
kihsleek Posted October 10, 2006 Author Report Posted October 10, 2006 p.s.: I actually am downloading something from the azureuses, but it's all scrapped afterwards...
Switeck Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 Wasn't Azureus/2402 the version that ROYALLY corrupted encrypted traffic?Do you have protocol encryption enabled by any chance?...come to think of it, I think µTorrent ALWAYS accepts incoming encrypted traffic -- so regardless of YOUR settings if they want to send via protocol encryption the data's screwed.
kihsleek Posted October 11, 2006 Author Report Posted October 11, 2006 Nope. No DLink. Netgear dg834g... No other problems with it...Outgoing encryption disabled, incoming legacy connections allowed. Please help. I wasn't able to find other torrent than this one (it's Baraka remixed in Radiohead style, downloaded from 2torrents)ps. I might sound too desperate. But I really want this....
Imago Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Same problem here.I noticed that these clients have similar IP addresses. Did you notice the same thing?
Switeck Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 They may be hostiles...you may have to block them using ipfilter.dat once you determine their ip range.
kihsleek Posted October 11, 2006 Author Report Posted October 11, 2006 Yep. Same thing with the addresses...Hostiles? Can they actually harm my computer or something like that?Currently there is around 12 peers with IP 208.10.29.* so you mean block them all? Can I do it using the way I just wrote it?By the way, thanks a lot for your comments...
kihsleek Posted October 11, 2006 Author Report Posted October 11, 2006 Just found out that it is not o problem of just one torrent. Some other torrents have the same with xx.xx.xx.*, and they go unusually slow (like 1-2kB/s) since...
kihsleek Posted October 11, 2006 Author Report Posted October 11, 2006 And all of them are using Azureus/2402. In ipfilter.dat, is it possible to block all peers using similar address? Something like xx.xx.xx.0 or whatever?ps. xx.xx.xx.0 doesn't seem to work. Well it does work in the way that I'm not downloading or uploading using them, but they're still connected and blocking others from doing so...
Switeck Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 You'd put it like this:208.10.29.0-208.10.29.255
emtec666 Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Wasn't Azureus/2402 the version that ROYALLY corrupted encrypted traffic?Nope that was 2.4.0.0
kihsleek Posted October 11, 2006 Author Report Posted October 11, 2006 YES! It works! Thanks a lot. What a relief... Switeck: Anything I can do for you in exchange for my stupid questions?
Switeck Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Read µTorrent's FAQ and start answering other people's questions that you know the answer to.
kihsleek Posted October 12, 2006 Author Report Posted October 12, 2006 That's what I'm gonna do. Thanks again.
