tdog514
So I downloaded uTorrent, because BitLord wasn't working....uTorrent isn't working either....I did the speed test and got my speed, but when i did the port test, it said the port wasn't open. So I went to portforward.com. Now, here's my problem. Apparently, you need to have a router or modem or whatever and you need its IP address. I'm at college, and between me and the campus servers, there's nothing I can see. I ran ipconfig/all and found my IP address to be 137.141.xxx.xx and my gateway to be 137.141.xxx.xxx. I established a static IP, but as to which router to use, I'm at a loss. They all seem to want an IP address of 168.192.xxx.xxx. Can anyone help me with this?BTW...BitLord was working fine until last week after the college updated something. I'm curious as to whether or not they've blocked the IP addresses of P2P programs and torrent sharing programs.
DreadWingKnight
I ran ipconfig/all and found my IP address to be 137.141.xxx.xx and my gateway to be 137.141.xxx.xxx.You aren't behind a router. If you were, the IP address would fall within RFC1918 ranges. The college probably updated to block by protocol and blocked p2p apps.Blocking by IP is only effective if you block the entire internet.
