native19
I started using utorrent to download stuffs about a month ago where the speed was constant 40kbps ++. After my modem+router got killed in a lightning strike i changed a new one after formatting my pc(congested with a lot of programs). Now with XP sp2 and the new modem my speed only goes up 15kbps if i use mozilla and if i dont its hovering around 2 to 3kbps.I did everything that was possible to get speed back but no improvements.I live in Malaysia and suscribed to TMNET streamyx(local superpower in broadband thats wat they say) Im on a 512/256 line. What is going on here? please help....
Ultima
1) http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=212323#p2123232) Just getting lucky? Or maybe you didn't set everything up properly?
native19
Thanks for replying ultima:Well as far as i know i did port forward, nothing wrong with firewall, patched tcpip.sys, controlled my upload rate which is now faster then my download(dont know y). I cannot surf until the download completes obviously, so maybe ill just leave it to finish or until TMNET stop throttling(i know it is impossible). 6 to 12kbps is like heaven, any other suggestion ultima? Ultima
If you have everything set up properly, then there isn't much that can be done. You've tried the OpenOffice.org torrents for testing's sake?
