Persio
Actually, this isn't a problem:I turned on the net.low_cpu option and speed has incredibly increased. I was downloading at 20k and now i'm downloading at 70k, reaching 100k occasionally. So, i'm more than glad and not complaining about anything I just want to know why this happens and why this option is turned off by default. Maybe it's off *for some reason* and I shouldn't be turning it on...Thanks!
Ultima
It just makes µTorrent use a bit less CPU speed at the *possible* expense of making it transfer more slowly. If your computer was constantly using a lot of CPU time, this might've helped. Otherwise, it's probably just coincidence.
Switeck
It could be that your global connection max or half-open connection limit is too high. net.low_cpu also reduces connection rate...and rarely if ever reaches the maxes. What settings (as shown by Speed Guide CTRL+G) are you using, and what speed is your connection? Persio
My connection is 1024d/512uMy upload limit is 9k, connections per-torrent 99, max active torrents 2, upload slots 3, connections (global) 200, max active downloads 2(But some time ago my max connections were set lower and the speed was the same)
Ultima
For your connection, those settings are underwhelming, to say the least. Use the Speed Guide properly.
Persio
My connection is 1024d/512uI'm sorry, I made a mistake, my connection is 1024d/128u
Ultima
Then your settings are too high. It still doesn't exempt you from needing to use the Speed Guide properly.
Persio
I ran the speed guide and speed has gone down, it returned to it's usual 30k for download. I changed the settings back to what i said before and speed raised again..
Switeck
Has your upload speed changed? Is it sustaining the max speed or just occassionally peaking at that value?
Persio
It's the average download speed, upload speed stays at 9k.
