rexdimos66
how can we tell if we need to adjuste peer.lazy.bitfield? and the net.max.halfopen ?
Ultima
peer.lazy_bitfield should be enabled by default, so there's like no reason you'd need to adjust it. As for net.max_halfopen, you really don't need to adjust it eitehr unless you start noticing that µTorrent is slowing your internet connection down. rexdimos66
and how can we tell if our provider tambering with mtorrent?
Ultima
If you're not having issues with regards to either problem I mentioned, then just leave the settings alone... If OpenOffice.org is downloading slowly and you have everything set up properly, then your ISP is tampering.
rexdimos66
and what do we do in this case?change provider?

emtec666
Here's a list of ISP's who are or aren't throttling BT traffic maybe yours is listed here toohttp://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/Bad_ISPs
rexdimos66
by turning the encryption on am i effect my downlaod speed?
Ultima
No. I already said, if OpenOffice.org is running fine, you don't need to do anything. I even said "it doesn't apply to you anyway", so I'm not sure why you're still trying to find out if your ISP is throttling.
rexdimos66
because i have problems ani i suspect my isp and problems the last week not from whwn i start to use the utorrent
Ultima
You said OpenOffice.org is working just fine, and I highly doubt they'd filter according to what torrent you're downloading, so there can't be anything wrong with your ISP as long as at least one can download just fine.Edit: Added "with your ISP" for clarity... Switeck
If OpenOffice runs fine, it's probably just your settings for µTorrent that are out of whack.So...what's the speed of your connection and what settings are you using as shown by Speed Guide (CTRL+G)? Switeck
Actually run another speed test on your line for download and upload.I think you're not getting what it's supposedly rated for.

Switeck
You can run a speed test without asking your ISP anything. We need real-world numbers anyway at this point...now what they SAY you have.
