Josef Jacob Posted October 16, 2006 Report Share Posted October 16, 2006 Dear all,i did my best so far to get this green in the network status light in µTorrent's status bar but with no avail!!!!so far i stoped the fire wall (as mentioned in the torrent FAQ's) and my router is us robotics, speed test showed that mine is 40/35k then i chosed 28k,the speed is not exceeding the 4 kb/sec , ul is 1 kb/seci added the ip adress to the options but still the same. Some time the light is red and sometime yellow but didnt be green even once.Please any help !!!thanx in advance Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Switeck Posted October 16, 2006 Report Share Posted October 16, 2006 You are also likely confusing the units used for bandwidth and file transfer speeds.One is in kilobits/sec, the other is in kiloBYTES/sec.They are not the same, to transfer a file at 1 kiloBYTE/sec takes at least 8 kilobits/sec of bandwidth -- if not more due to overheads.You may also be confusing Speed Guide's settings choices.
