dzigor
About a week ago I started getting failed hash checks for every torrent, but they don't seem poisoned. I tried watching a video I downloaded and it worked fine, just the part which wasn't finished had weird colours, but I'm sure it would be fine if the download was finished. I tried lowering the download rate, downloading to another partition, redownloading the torrent file, and still same pieces are failing. I'm not using any router, so it's not that. From what I read on this forum, it seems that there's not much I can do. Is that true?
Switeck
If someone else is sending you bad pieces, you'll fail hash checks...and µTorrent will try downloading those pieces again till it gets correct parts. If the cause of the problem is on your end, look closely at your setup. Are you on wireless? (interferance may be the cause of that)Any viruses/spyware/malware managed to get on your system recently? What new software are you running now that wasn't there 2 weeks ago?Checked for loose cables?Do you reset your computer, router, and modem at least once every other day? (rebooting helps clear bad/old entries in their routing memory which may cause problems.)
dzigor
I'm on cable internet, there's been a format in the meantime, so it's not the software, I don't have much installed right now, I regulary scan for spies and viruses, and if there were any, they are probably all gone with the format, all cables are perfectly plugged in. I guess maybe I've just been unlucky, I'll see.
