Speed Guide doesn't have my connection

Alright, I have uTorrent 1.6 with one router with the Internet and a switch hooked up to that for extra ports, where this machine is hooked in to.

The machine running uTorrent is Win 2k and has a 400mhz processor with 384mb RAM. I have 384kilobytes or 3megabit down but only 40kilobytes or 320kilobit up, but I can't seem to configure this in the speed guide.

The speed guide goes from 1 to 2 to 5, or something skipping 3. Also, the 2, makes way to many global connections. Only thing is, that even when I limit the upload to about 80%, the speed can go slow, not slow like I wish it would go faster, but slow like obviously something is wrong.

Also, what I don't understand is this. I know that you have to cap your upload usage, otherwise you will kill your dl. That turns out to be very true with my 3mb/320kbit service but the odd thing was, when I had 320kbit/320bit, if I didn't cap the upload, the dl speed was no affected. Why wouldn't it be affected in that case?

Oh I did, lol. Sorry about that.

Well I don't know if I am doing something wrong, I went with those speed settings.

320kB.

I have a Network Everywhere NR041 Router and a Linksys BEFSR41 and uTorrent never seems to want to go over 150 now even though I have 384 max kilobytes down. It seems to make my router setup page barely work also. I only give less then 200 or less then 100 connections and have peer guardian so what is killing the connection so much?

Choose the xx/384k setting, but then manually change the upload speed to 32 KB/sec. Alternate upload speed while not downloading you can make as high as 35 KB/sec if you want.

Download speed is severely impacted when uploading amounts are overloading the upload side significantly. With a slight overload, you might still reach 50 KB/sec download speeds...but with a severe upload overload, you may only see 5 KB/sec download speeds.

what am I supposed to set the MTU to? I told my router as part of an expirment to not set the default MTU and manaually told it 1500, and I swear, my network is way healthier and that is the only thing I changed, my router's setup page no longer freezes. Also the web is faster also.
