domoehlers Posted October 26, 2005 Report Share Posted October 26, 2005 Would it be possible to make it so users get split into these two groups so that later you can add a feature/option to give priority for uploading to the users that belong to your tracker first over DHT users. dcorban Posted October 30, 2005 Report Share Posted October 30, 2005 The "official" method of using DHT appears to be either solely use DHT or use the tracker. Azureus uses the method of only using DHT when the tracker is unreachable. I assume this is how µTorrent will implement it. I haven't really considered the impact of using DHT in parallel to a tracker. One would think it could only be beneficial.
