alanmc Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Hi,I was just monitoring peer messaging in my client and i noticed this odd behavior from uTorrent. The list is the order in which messages where sent/received from my client. The messages on the left are ones that i sent, the messages on the right (the indented ones) are ones i received:Example 1: Choke/Unchoke/Choke one after another. Ive seen this quite a few timesConnectingConnectedhandshake Handshake: -UT1600-??s????????PBitfield BitfieldMessage HaveMessageInterestedMessage UnChokeMessageRequestMessageRequestMessageRequestMessageRequestMessageRequestMessageRequestMessage PieceMessageRequestMessage PieceMessageRequestMessage PieceMessage PieceMessage PieceMessage PieceMessage PieceMessage ChokeMessage UnChokeMessage ChokeMessageExample 2: Choking as soon as i request a piece. I've seen quite a few times aswell (>5)ConnectingConnectedhandshake Handshake: -UT1600-??d?B4???Bitfield BitfieldMessageInterestedMessage UnChokeMessageRequestMessage ChokeMessage
Switeck Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 I have seen where I should be able and actively uploading to peers, as I have spare bandwidth and they do not seem particularly active...and yet I am either not uploading at all or am uploading at far less than max upload rate. This is particularly bad if I set upload slots to 1 or 2, as the optimistic unchoke seems to be very slow at ramping up to speed.
alanmc Posted December 5, 2006 Author Report Posted December 5, 2006 Just wondering if there's been any update on this bug. I can provide logs of the messages being sent to and fro with timestamps if needed.
