Stone
It's possible, but many trackers igore that as it can be used for something like DDoS.
Ultima
Preferences > BitTorrent > IP/Hostname to report to trackerBut as Stone said, trackers very often ignore it.

obluda
hey,if i do a proxy server on machine, which i want to report to tracker for incoming connections and use this proxy for outgoing conenctions in settings. could it work? :-)btw: Does µTorrent support proxies?Yes. Open the options and go to Connection. It supports SOCKS4, SOCKS5, HTTP Connect, and HTTP proxies. Peer communication proxying is supported with SOCKS4, SOCKS5, and HTTP Connect. HTTP Connect is HTTP proxies that allow arbitrary TCP connections. Not all do, which is why it's a separate item in the list. just reading the faq and i've 1 question: what does it mean 'peer communication proxying' ? isn't it only when is dht turned on?thnx
Ultima
No, peer communication means even data is transferred through the proxy, which can slow things down, and often doesn't work because of proxy limitations.
obluda
mmmm ... so why am i setting proxy, when data are going still directly to the peer?
Ultima
Because some ISPs simply block tracker communication.
