stalks Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Can anyone tell me why, when there are as many seeds as peers for a particular .torrent, the majority of the downloading seems to come from the peers and not the seeds?
DreadWingKnight Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Because you're actively trading pieces with peers.
OX Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 it says my download is completed but it shows that it is seeding what does this mean.
Lord Alderaan Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 It means you are sharing the content of the file. torrent is a system of giving and taking. In general you want your taking and giving to be in balance. In general as long as the number in the Ratio column is below 1.00 you should keep 'seeding' and sometimes even longer.
splintax Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 In the meantime, you can use the file that you've downloaded while it's seeding. (Usually.)
