(Google/MSN Desktop, possibly some anti-virus software, Explorer's thumbnail view, may not be any of the above)Someone suggested to go into the peferences within Utorrent to the advanced tab and set the value of the diskio.flush_files to false and soo far it worked TY for the info and I hope this can help othersmagicjammies
DreadWingKnight Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 We don't support 1.4 anymore.We support 1.6
boo Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 DreadWingKnight, he doesn't mean µTorrent 1.4, but 1.4 in the FAQ.
tokyotorrent Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 I found that if I quit the following 3 processes in Windows Task Manager, that the error stopped occurring, and the CPU performance stayed stable while uploading/downloading.RoxMediaDB.exeRoxWatch.exeRoxWatchTray.exeRoxMediaDB and RoxWatch will automatically restart themselves if killed, so suggest you hit RoxWatchTray.exe first.HTH
Ultima Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 There are a variety of processes that does this -- mostly indexing services. And yes, Roxio's media database/indexing services have been previously determined to cause this issue as well, though it's not the only other culprit.
settnfires Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 ok i noticed sumthn... i can download individual files but not folders. for instance, i can download a .zip, .rar, or .avi file, but wen its a torrent of a folder of files (lets say a bunch of rars), then it will come up wit this access denied error. does this help anyone to figure out wats goin on wit this problem?
CodeRed Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 A little late, but doesn't Roxio have a list of folders not to watch/index?
Ultima Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 Most of these indexing services do, actually
