doomuk
well it works from the computer itself when I type 127.0.0.1 but not from another pc or even when i use that pc's ip address.I completly disabled the firewall and its still wont connect. The web page just says waiting for .....What am I doing wrong?at the dos prompt I tried to ping that pc and got no-where - just said connection timed out. The pc im trying to connect to is on a LAN which connect directly to the net via a router. could this be why? Thanks in advance
Ultima
Did you forward your ports properly?
doomuk
I ticked the box alternative listening port but it dosnt seem to matter if I put the port no. of the alternative listening port or the port used for incoming connection in. I still get server not found.Like I said, if I try to ping the ip in the command line i get connection timed out.
Ultima
Disable the alternative listening port and try the normal BitTorrent port. And pinging means nothing, as your router could simply not respond to it.
