emtec666
When you download something of ed2k the Emule client automatically keeps sharing the downloaded file(s). You have delete the files or manually remove them from the download directory in order to stop sharing them. Maybe this is one of the main reasons files stay alive so long on the ed2k network (much longer than on BT). I bet torrents would stay alive (much) longer if suck a mechanism was built in to torrent clients like uTorrent. Now a lot of ppl just kick the torrents out of their clients when downloads are finished (especially on public trackers). Yeah I know it's a long shot and it will probably never happen but still I like the suggestion
DreadWingKnight
BitTorrent isn't a traditional p2p network.ED2K is.You can't compare the two.
Switeck
Actually, it is VERY bad to keep running lots of torrents.Your upload gets split so thin that even if you are uploading to someone...it's at 0.1 KB/sec. That's why you need to reduce upload slots PER torrent if you increase max active torrents.
