Router Issues: surecom ep4904SX

I recently use a router (surecom ep4904sx) along with my cable modem. problem is: though i ve forwarded the ports correctly both in the router and in winfirewall, clients cannot really connect. Sometime it works, and i have a green sign. I see clients connected on the defined port, but after a while they disconnect from that port and connect to another one, as though they just cant get a connection on the forwarded port - and i get the warning sign in utorrent The same with the upnp feature on. The port test sometimes works, especially after having the router rebooted and than it will give an error again. speeds are slow, especially the uploads. i didnt have any problems without the router, so it ought to be a router issue. plz help.
