EugeneV
How do I open that window that pops up when you first download a torrent, where you can select what files you want to download or not. What I am trying to do is basically stop certain files from downloading after I start the torrent. Or is the only way to do that is just by going to the files tab and selecting the files that way? µtorrent-Guest
since this dialog comes only once while adding a torrent, yes if you want to unselect some files you must chose don't download in the files tab AFAIK!
emtec666
Yes you can set files to not download after you started a torrent. Click on the torrent in your client window, go to Files tab and select "Don't download" for the files you want in the Priority column.Tip: hold CTRL to select multiple files
Ultima
Hah I'm pretty sure EugeneV already knows how, but was just asking if there was a way to open the initial add torrent dialog.@EugeneV: Any reason you prefer the dialog box over the tab? It's more-or-less the same
EugeneV
yeah, when you select or deselect files, the initial window tells you the size of the selected files. but if you go to the files tab it won't tell you the remaining size of the torrent that i am downloading. It's useful for when you want to seed just like a gig off of a dvd copy, and not the whole thing To not screw up your ratio too much. I know in bitcomet that window pops up when you hit preferences, but it doesn't happen in utorrent and I like utorrent a lot more than bitcomet. it's just for that one thing. that it won't tell you the size of the file you're downloading after you deselect some files. Ultima
The Total Size field of the General tab actually shows how much you selected.
