torrentsRRfun
I noticed on my firewall that port 41237 was being hammared. I opened up utorrent and I had a torrent seeding even though I had closed the program.I still get a request on 41237 inbound every few seconds. Why does it do this even though the program has been closed?Do I have to uninstall it? DreadWingKnight
Incoming connections are coming from other peers with your information cached.Nothing you can do to stop it.
olmari
To clarify maybe an bit: other clients know that you had bittorrent on that port and it takes time until all clients gets to know that you aren't there anymore... So ofcourse they try to connect that port assuming you are there, after few tries they stop trying. Also it (hammering) naturally doesn't depend is your uTorrent opened or closed as it's others than tries to connect to you. This happends in every bittorrnet client, and it is also perfectly safe, so you have nothing to worry about.
