KUNFUCHOPSTICKS
Hi,I just bought a Netgear WGT624 router. It's connected with my Motorola surfboard Cable Modem. Before having the router utorrent was at regular speed of 100KB/s. Now that i have bought and installed my router the speed is 20kB/s (Notice difference is number and KB/kB). I have read the guide and followed all steps here: http://www.utorrent.com/setup_guide.php http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Netgear/WGT624/Utorrent.htm and http://www.portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm But no luck. The speed is still crappy 20kB/sNote this is definatly a router probelm because before buying the router eveything was fine. Please help me im about to pull my hair out because of this f-ing router!thanksalso How do i set utorrent to show in KB/s only or doesd it do it automatically? Ultima
Ehm... KB and kB are the same Distinguishing by bits and bytes is probably what you want, and you should do it that way instead of using more convoluted abbreviations.Do provide the information as asked for at the bottom of the first link in my signature. KUNFUCHOPSTICKS
whoa! ok im seeing things.maybe its because i never really paid attentions but i thought it was alwayy KB/s. sorry i know now Kb and KB are different. So does utorrent use kB and KB interchangably i swear it was KB for 6 months and now its kB after i installed my router. probabaly conicidence.thanks
Ultima
So um... is speed still an issue you want to discuss and/or attempt to fix, or was this all a misunderstanding? If it's the former, do provide information as I asked for earlier

Ultima
Eh? What kind of response did you want from me? It seems to me like you've figured your problems out ;o(For anyone wondering, I deleted his last post/bump, which consisted of a single question mark)

Ultima
I haven't made any headcounts as to how many times KB or kB is used in µTorrent (and I suspect kB is the only abbreviation that's used anyway), but even if KB were used, then yeah, it is used interchangably.
