quaternions Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 I'm finding that Utorrent reports an upload speed of 30 KBytes/s while my kerio firewall says i'm uploading at nearer 40 KBytes/s. If utorrent is using up all of my upload bandwidth without me knowing it would explain why sometimes webpages time out on me. Can someone suggest a decent bandwidth monitor so i can check which program is right?Cheers.
Ultima Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 Dunno, but can you provide us with what the Speed Guide shows your current settings to be?
quaternions Posted December 6, 2006 Author Report Posted December 6, 2006 I found a rather nifty little tool called NetMeter. Utorrent is under reporting my upload speed by about 10-12%. The difference was an over report of upload speed by kerio.I don't use the speed guide. I had Utorrent capped at an upload speed of 30 KBytes/s and no limit on downloads. It was actually uploading at about 34 KBytes/s. So anyway i've lowered my cap accordingly.I'm still getting the odd webpage timeout, so that must be something else...
Ultima Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 I asked for the numbers shown on the Speed Guide, not whether you use the Speed Guide ;o
quaternions Posted December 8, 2006 Author Report Posted December 8, 2006 The speed guide says :-Upload limit 27 KBytes/sUpload slots 4Connections per torrent 80Connections global 230Max active torrents 2Max active downloads 2So what am i missing?
