Can anyone help please.
ICleolion
You dont have to register!! where are u trying to download the program from?
Saribro
You don't need to register to download, you've mistakenly clicked the UseNeXT link instead of the µTorrent download link.
pa_fred
What is this ?http://www.downloadsglobe.com/utorrent/?gclid=CK3jzJPciIkCFST9Zgod8iR3jQ

Alpha-Toxic
size: 1.05MBpublisher: AlwilWTF?!?!pa_fred, you should be happy you came here in time... the site you are trying to download from is obveously a scam site. They either want you to pay for uTorrent (which is FREE) or they have messed up the .exe and infested it with something (the REAL uTorrent is about 170KB, this one is 1MB) or, most likely, they are doing both. So just visit the link Firon gave you and feel lucky you were not scammed.
pa_fred
Yes I know. But look at the OFFICIAL page of uTorrent: there is a link to this site ! Left upper corner. You should check your own webpage!

Ultima
And what does the link at the bottom of the circled part say?
pa_fred
I see the difference: WWW. Confusing.....
pa_fred
It is the link to the "payed" version. And there is a link to Azureus....
Ultima
The "www" in the URL is NOT the difference -- it's still the same site. And no, the link at the bottom of the circled part does NOT link to the paid version. The link at the bottom of the circled part in your screenshot says "Ads by Goooooogle". pa_fred
Yes, you're right. And that would say....? I suppose it has nothing to do with Google, but what.....?Still confusing to find this link on the website....
Ultima
It's Google AdSense advertisement, and it's outside of our control. Also, Google AdSense advertisements are found all over the internet anyway, as they're probably THE largest and most successful form of advertisement (as proven here ;o). Lord Alderaan
Is there no way for you to complain to google that adsense is linking to scam versions of your free application?
ICleolion
As Ultima said it's called Google AdSense advertisement. And if you had any SENSE, you wouldnt click on the ads when you are already on the official site for the program you are looking for!!
Lord Alderaan
Well if you take a look at that picture it isn't strange people click on a 'download' button when the get on the µtorrent site. To some people google adds are easily recognized but a lot of people don't recognize them as adds immediately and click on the first download button they see. Sensible or not imho its a mistake too easily made and thus damaging to the reputation of µtorrent.Besides its screwed that google would put adds on a site that links to a scam of the free application the site offers. And I was merely wondering if google in all their might and wisdom anticipated on these kinda problems and had a policy about this and/or a procedure to address this. Firon
We can't do anything about GOogle AdSense linking to crap.
p00kie
I'm sure there's some way to complain to Google - more than likely there's some malicious code or content or something on that site that violates the adsense tos.I mean, hell, they didn't even bother to use a utorrent screenshot for their front page
DD32
In the Adsense control panel cant you set a list of keywords which are to NOT apear in the ads? putting uTorrent in there should deal with it rather well..I notice the UseNext and Paypal donate code has been commented out in the source code, i'm supprised the GoogleAds werent removed as well, No need for it now µT is part of BT Inc. i thought ? Then again.. the 3 ad blocks probably bring in some nice cash from all the people leaving the site for "uTorrent Download" link ads....D
