robnohawk Posted December 19, 2006 Report Share Posted December 19, 2006 I managed to get my uTorrent to 500K+ downloads, but everything woud crash if I tried to websurf while downloading.I think I know why.I checked alot of sites and info, and came to find that the BITS service in WinXP handles downloads in the background while doing other things.... exactly what BITS stands for.... "Background Intelligent Transfer Service"If you use uTorrent, then try to open IE explorer, or other web-browsing service, uTorrent freezes and everything crashes. Bummer!!! Make sure your BITS service is 'automatic' and 'started' in your Windows services if using WinXP.I'm no expert, but this has fixed my problem.Good luck!!!
