afied080
There is all this pain trying to get Upnp to work, but If you can still dl torrents w/o it, what is its purpose? does it provide speed increases? I guess I just don't understand.
µtorrent-Guest
google?!for example "[4] The purpose of UPnP is to establish seamless peer to peer networking between disparate devices on a TCP/IP network. "
Switeck
...when manual settings don't work, that is.If you've manually port-forwarded your router, then you should NOT use UPnP.
afied080
I think I understand it now. UPnP chooses ports for you, if you do manually, then you don't need it. One port does it all if its forwarded properly.... I am going to write a post.... now that I fixed a few things, I am dl @ 600-950kbps upwards.... amazing
Hyosung
Emm so let's say for example if I just forwarded the ports from 1-65535 for both my pc's(Even with the problem I already have in This Thread) I can turn off uPnP right? As I wasn't too sure so I just had it Enabled assuming it would be better...
spork985
uPnP automatically configures port forwarding for you if your router supports it. THere making it more complicated than it actually is.
