uT doesn't work anymore

so, i installed some software on my computer, and then i removed it. Coincidence or not my uTorrent doesn't work anymore. uTorrent says it is downloading but the speed stays at 0 - 0.1 KB/s. I tried different torrents and trackers, but it's the same. I reinstalled uTorrent-didn't solve the problem.

What should i do? cause i don't wanna format the drive.

Could it be some stupid virus ?

- We don't know, since we don't know what programm you installed and what this programm is capable of.

- Since you oviously allowed a programm to run from which you can't say what it might have done for example that could be the reason for µT's download problems, Law 1 applies and only formating can change that state of uncertainty with 100% absolute probability.

the software was not suspicious at all (lineage2, geright, flashget, and some cd recover utility)
