I con't afford broadband and im getting the internet free from my freind so a better ISP wont be an option. Switeck Posted December 23, 2006 Report Share Posted December 23, 2006 It could be a 'dirty' phone line.Have you tried disconnecting extra phones (they can cause line noise even when not off the hook)?What about also determining if there's ANYTHING else trying to use the internet connection at the same time?Auto-update programs, adware/spyware, and viruses are notorious for "stealing" bandwidth.
