need help for downloading

hi

i have install utorrent on my pc on our LAN wen i want to download log apear that say unable to map upmp port

ihave any access on my PC but i havent any access to router and so on LAN

can i do anything to download from this software port change etc.

if the router you have no access to does not support (or has not activated) UPnP, then you can a) ignore the error message, untick the box for it in the settings of µT, c) do nothing about the problem since you need access to the router to forward a port in it!

you can try d) ask someone that has access to the router to forward a port for you.

if that person needs help you can e) refer him to portforward.com

I would try f) gain the access to the damn router (especially if i pay anything for being on that LAN) and set it up appropriatly.

and of course you can g) still use µT, even if you can not forward a port. It will just give you not the best torrent experience you would get with a forwarded port, but it will download and upload non the less.
