trandoanhung1991 Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 Hi. I'm having a problem with bittorrent in general. I'm not sure if I have a NAT problem or not cuz for every single client I use, only sometimes I get a remote connection. When I do, I might get 1 or a lot. But most of the time only local. Also, when taking the port forward test, it indicates that I haven't done the forwarding properly. So, can any1 help out? I'm using a Linksys WRT54G wireless router.BTW, how come Azureus sometimes find extra seeders? For example, the torrent has 10 seeders as displayed, but I'm connected to 15! How?
Ultima Posted December 25, 2006 Report Posted December 25, 2006 Because the tracker scrape can be old and/or inaccurate, you get contradictory seed/peer counts.http://www.utorrent.com/setup_guide.php <-- have you read this yet?
trandoanhung1991 Posted December 29, 2006 Author Report Posted December 29, 2006 This is kind of wierd but sometimes, when I use the port checker from uTorrent, it said its not opened. But 5 secs later, check again and it's open. Why? Also, I got a green tick on the status bar but the check stills says the port isn't forwarded. I'm using a Linksys WRT54G wireless router with a Motorola cable modem. BTW, is there any way of maxing my connection cuz I'm on a 10Mb/1Mb connection but my down speed is always around 200KB/s.BTW, my DHT status is always on Waiting to login.. Is this bad? How do we fix it?
Ultima Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 Because Surfboards are bad modems, your port sometimes look unforwarded. As for DHT... you need to forward your port for UDP an addition to TCP.
