HodgePodge
I was downloading at 270 kb/s+ and for no reason when the file was at 94.6% it just slowed to .04 kb/s or around there. There are a lot of people seeding this file but for some reason I am not connecting to any of them. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Switeck
Sounds like a fake torrent.Availability is probably what you already have too. That torrent's probably full of garbage anyway.Try a different one and watch the numbers (connected seeds and availability) -- if you don't connect to seeds and availability doesn't top 1.0 then it isn't going to complete. HodgePodge
Okay, something is definitely wrong with Utorrent. I was downloading a different file this time and at 99.7% it did the same thing as the last. I was using BitTornado before and it never did this. The reason why I switched to Utorrent was because something was wrong with BitTornado and it was kind of screwy with speeds. What can I do to fix this? kurahashi
Okay, something is definitely wrong with UtorrentSomething is definitely wrong with you.I was using BitTornado before and it never did thisI feel crushed by this argument. What can I do to fix this?Just for starters, stop saying bu... nonsenses with such authoritative manner. Second, stop downloading fake/uncomlplete torrents. Did you ever read Switeck's reply?
HodgePodge
Hmm Kurahashi... it would probably be best if you take that stick out of your ass so you can stop being such a shit-brained prick. I was just asking for some help not an asinine remark. If you can't say anything useful, then don't say anything at all. And what you should be saying is not something is wrong with me, but instead wrong with you. Yes, I did read switeck's comment and I assumed it was the program at fault and not the torrent because I don't think that 2 different files with over 6000 seeds each would actually be fake or corrupted torrents you dimwit. So next time, instead of jumping in and posting scathing remarks that have no relation to the topic, just do everyone a favor and f*** off. Switeck
It's not the program's fault per se. There are LOTS of fake and poisoned torrents out there, and it won't matter what BitTorrent client you use with fake torrents. Poisoned torrents require micromanagement to increase your odds. Azereus might be better for the task, but even still you'll need lots of configuring. And it might make your computer crawl while it's running. Ultima
@HodgePodge: With the massive influx of people complaining about poisoned torrents recently, what makes you think it's all that unlikely a problem? Would you not find it more unlikely that, even with 6000+ seeders, the availability still remains below 1.0? And when I say massive influx, I mean massive. I myself have had to say "fake torrent" to at least 10 people in recent days (I've just said it to 3 or 4 people in this round of forum posting for me today).Simple formula? LOTS of seeders + BELOW 1.0 availability == FAKE torrent in most cases.
