Steelunicorn[56k][RUS]
I have an idea to change "seed while" option from abstract "XXX%" to "N of full copies uploaded" (in other words seed while every piece of torrent uploaded N times). This would give a 99% guarantee that after you stopped seeding there will be availability=1.
drpiety
That sounds not bad, at least theoretically. The availability will be 1 for short time in a small swarm though.
silverfire
Super seed + stop at 100%.Done.
Firon
well, you might need a few more % than 100, in the event a peer drops out or something. 105-110% might be a safe amount
ph0rn
Offtopic: May I ask what exactly super seeding is?
silverfire
Haha, I was just proving a point.
Animorc
Superseeding it an alternate method to seed, which reduces the amount of data sent.A super seeder sends a random piece to peer A, then waits for piece A to appear on peer B. After that it sends another random piece to peer A and waits for it to appear on peer B again. The same happens with peer B. Super seed sends some random, not the same piece as for peer A, to peer B and waits for it to appear on peer A. That way you hand out each piece once (saves bandwidth), prevent leechers (if a peer doesn't share a piece it received, it doesn't get any more), and allows for a seed to be made later on. I think it would be enough. But it still was a good idea
