why does downloading stop on some files when they get to around 95% ?

I have been trying to download files most complete great but there are a few that get to around 95% then stop downloading , I see that they upload ok and that continues at good speeds but downloading drops to around 0.1 kB/s.

any help/advice is appreciated

Those are likely fake torrents.

You're probably not connecting to any seeds...and between all the peers you're connected to, none of them have enough to combine to make a complete torrent.

Check availability -- if it's <1.0 then the torrent CANNOT complete.

info on the torrent thats struggling to complete :-

Dog Soldiers.avi 0(1)....5(7)...... 0.999

It started up again coming in at around 65kB/s and has got to 99.9% but the download speed now is stuck at 0.0kB/s.

Is there a chance that other seeds/peers could connect or should I try for another file ? Im fairly new to uTorrent so any help is really appreciated.

In that case, it could be a case of the swarm containing no seeds, but not necessarily (someone could be hiding as a super-seed). I'm not sure, but the best thing you can probably do is wait. If it doesn't complete in maybe a week or two, then the torrent could very-well be dead =T

true but you maybe in luck search the torrent sites and try to find a torrent that has the same files like if its .avi and .nfo files or if they have many .rar. and just copy the tracker into the download that is stuck a 95% if yor do it corrcly you maybe able to get a seeder
