blackbeard
I have just started using utorrent. on my first download when it reached 98.8% the download speed dropped to to 0.01kb/s and all the bandwidth (i don't have much) is being used for people uploading. I now need to wait 2 days to finish my download at this speed. Is it possible to temopraraly stop the uploads just while my download finishes. Ultima
No. What is the availability on the torrent? How many seeds and peers are there?
jprice201
My download has stopped at 99.9%. Can I just stop it there as most of it seems to be downloaded and it is essentially frozen. Will I be able to see the majority of my download if I just stop now
Ultima
Not necessarily. BitTorrent downloads pieces randomly, so just because 0.1% of the torrent has yet to be completed, you can't be sure that single piece is somewhere that won't affect usage of the file.
