I live in an appartment complex that provides internet connection, so there is an ethernet jack in the wall. Its offered through roadrunner but there is no modem. I guess they have a router or modem for each appartment building. The building i'm in has 30+ units. I've had a hell of a time with port forwarding. Am i just up shit creek? There would be no way for me to control, modify, etc the router/modem for the entire building (at least i dont think). Any suggestions? On the port forward test, i get a fail every time, and I get the orange triangle with a exclamation point in it at the bottom of the uTorrent window which means i'm not configured properly. HELP! I hope there is a way to fix this... ;(
Ultima Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 If UPnP doesn't work for you, then the only way you can get around it is if you ask them to open a port for you (read: very unlikely to happen). Meaning yeah, you're pretty much up shit creek if you can't use your own internet connection.
